I started my career as an accountant and was a controller for a decade then decided, instead, that I was meant to be a business owner. So, I started a business in 2006 as a Tax and Project Management Consultant.

In 2010, I hit a shallow point. Profit and cash flow were getting smaller every single year. It was only after using my accounting and project management background and diving deep into my numbers that I found the path to profitability and positive cash flow.

I developed a 4-step process for finding the profit in my numbers and then using them to grow profit and revenue systematically. I stopped being the “doer-of-all-things” in my business and started running the business “by the numbers” like an owner.

• Create Targets for Profit and Cash Flow
• Keep Score Card of Green, Yellow, and Red
• Create an Action Plan, Help Execute, Monitor and Control

And that is when I finally got the freedom I wanted when I started my business.
